At Aro.inc we’re building a fast-paced, tech-first power trading company with big ambitions: we want to redefine how the energy sector works through technology, AI and automation.

We trade electricity 24/7 across European power markets, which means our systems have to be robust, scalable and resilient – and we treat data as a first-class citizen in everything we do.

We’re now looking for a Student Worker in Tech/Engineering to join our team.

WHAT YOU’LL DO

As a student worker, you’ll be an integrated part of the engineering team – not “just” a helper.

You will:

• Build and maintain services in our cloud-based, multi-service setup (primarily in Node.js and C#).

• Work with GCP-hosted systems handling real-time and historical trading data.

• Help design and implement integrations between our core platform and our AI models, bringing AI “out to live” in production.

• Contribute to making our 24/7 trading stack more stable, observable and resilient.

• Take ownership of your tasks from idea to deployment – always with support, sparring and code review from experienced engineers.

This is a place where you can learn a lot very quickly – if you’re curious and brave enough to take responsibility.

WHO YOU ARE

You might be a great fit if you:

• Are currently studying computer science, software engineering, data science or a similar technical field.

• Learn fast and enjoy diving into new technologies and domains.

• Have a solid grasp of computer science fundamentals and can connect theory with practice.

• Think tactically about solutions: you prefer the right solution over the most over-engineered one.

• Are comfortable owning your work and following tasks through to completion.

• Communicate clearly in English (spoken and written) and enjoy collaborating in a small, focused team.

Experience with Node, C#, GCP, or cloud-native architectures is a plus – but not a requirement if you’re motivated and quick to learn.
